Rollins thanks God that Eaton is off the roster.

Jayded Perspective
The Phillies have submitted their post-season roster for the NLDS. While most of the roster is what fans expected, there were a couple of surprises (via Comcast Sportsnet):
Pitchers
Antonio Alfonseca; Clay Condrey; Tom Gordon; Cole Hamels; Kyle Kendrick; Kyle Lohse; Jose Mesa; Jamie Moyer; Brett Myers; J.C. Romero
Catchers
Rod Barajas; Chris Coste; Carlos Ruiz
Infielders
Greg Dobbs; Wes Helms; Ryan Howard; Tadahito Iguchi; Abraham Nunez; Jimmy Rollins; Chase Utley
Outfielders
Michael Bourn; Pat Burrell; Aaron Rowand; Shane Victorino; Jayson Werth
By going with a ten-man pitching staff, Charlie Manuel has more flexibility on the bench, and is able to continue to use lefty/righty match ups. Expect to see Dobbs and Victorino in against right-handed pitchers, and Helms and Werth against lefties. Abe Nunez will be a late inning defense replacement at third base, as will Michel Bourn in left field.
Seeing three catchers on the roster might be a bit of a surprise. Due to Carlos Ruiz’s aching elbow, Manuel was forced to carry three catchers, which is probably the reason for the ten-man pitching staff.
As far as the pitching goes, free agent bust, Adam Eaton was left off the post season roster. Eaton was a disaster on the mound this season, and having him on the mound to face a potent Rockies lineup is frightening. It’s not a big surprise seeing Eaton being the odd man out.
The pitcher most notably left off the roster was Geoff Geary. Geary was a rock in the bullpen down the stretch, but reports are he has an elbow injury. Should the Phillies make it to the NLCS, expect Geary to be put on the roster.
