J’ded Perspective
With Ben Eager currently day-to-day with dizziness as a result of a Radek Martinek check Saturday night, the Flyers have recalled Stefan Ruzicka.
A gifted playmaker, Ruzicka was thought to initially make the team from training camp, but was instead sent to Philadelphia of the AHL. He responded by leading the Phantoms in scoring (three goals and five assists in five games). The biggest knock on Ruzicka has been his defense. He gets knocked off the puck easy, and tends to turn the puck over.
With Eager not available tonight, expect to see Ruzicka alongside Jim Dowd and Riley Cote tonight as the Flyers host the winless Thrashers.
To make room for Ruzicka, the Flyers have placed the suspended Jesse Boulerice on waivers.
