I'm not sure what's wrong with Blanton this year - I haven't seen nearly enough of him - but I've seen enough of Blanton throughout his career to know that he's a young, hard-throwing work horse. The big losers here are Oakland, who were asking far more for Blanton in the offseason, and ended up having to settle.
