The Arizona Cardinals formally announced today that they would entertain trade offers for disgruntled star receiver Anquan Boldin.
A lot has been said over the past year or so about the possibility of the Eagles trading for Boldin, and now that appears to be a possibility.
Last month, at the league meetings in California, coach Andy Reid was asked about the possibility of trading for a top-flight receiver if one should be available.
“I’ll always look at something if there is a great player out there, and it doesn’t matter what position,’’ Reid said. “I’m always looking to better our football team.’’
With reports surfacing that the New York Giants are about to pull the trigger on a trade for Braylon Edwards, the need for a top receiver has never been more apparent.
Plus you’re star quarterback wants one as well. Quarterback Donovan McNabb has made his desire for the Eagles to upgrade the offense well known, and acquiring Boldin would be the best way to do that.
We will keep you posted.
