On Monday Major League Baseball the candidates for the All Star Game Final Vote. The idea is that the fans will be able to select the final reserve player for both the NL and AL teams.

VicAmong the candidates for the National League team is Phillies’ outfielder Shane Victorino, who proved to baseball fans Monday night why he is a worthy choice for their vote.

The Phillies, from the players to the Hawaiian-shirt and lei clad ballgirls, did their best to put Victorino in the national spotlight with a 22-1 pummeling of the Cincinnati Reds. Victorino did his part with five runs scored on four hits, a walk, and four RBIs, including a homerun.

Over his past six games, Victorino is batting .462 with 12 hits in 26 at bats and eight runs scored. His batting average on the season is .308 with an on base percentage of  .371, which goes along with 60 runs scored and 13 RBIs.

Fans can vote for Victorino at phillies.com, or at mlb.com, until 4:00 PM on Friday. You can vote as many times as you want, so vote early and often, and send Victorino to St. Lous!!
