Shane Victorino continued to show why he deserves to make the final NL All Star spot with a walk off single in Wednesday night’s 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

victoriSince being named as one of the five finalists for MLB’s All Star Final Vote, Victorino is 7-14 with five RBIs and six runs scored. The Flyin-Hawaiian has 13 hits in his previous seven games and has been a significant factor in the Phillies recent success.

Despite his current hot streak, and the backing of the Philadelphia region, Pennsylvania Governor, City of Las Vegas, and state of Hawaii, Victorino continues to trail San Francisco Giants’ third baseman Pablo Sandoval, who has the full support of his home country of Venezuela.

Voting continues until 4 PM Thursday afternoon, and voting is unlimited.

It was all at once (the new delivery). It was kind of shaky a little bit at the beginning, but I guess that’s why the Minor Leagues are there.”
